Drugs
Do NOT get involved with drugs. Colombia, just like any other country, has a very strong stance regarding drugs. The penalties can be severe. The Foreign Office will not be able to make the authorities drop any charges or make prison conditions more comfortable.
If you become ill through the use of drugs, your insurance will almost certainly become invalid.
Don’t accept any gifts from anyone. Do not, under any circumstances, look after or carry any bag or luggage for anyone.
Don’t accept sweets, gum or cigarettes or anything at all from anyone.
Do carry with you any necessary health information and prescriptions.
