Money
1. The Colombian Peso is the local currency. Check the exchange rate prior to departure. You may wish to carry a small amount of cash with you, but there are plenty of reliable ATM's. Don't keep all your money in the same place. You will not need Travelers' Cheques. Trying to find somewhere to exchange them can waste unnecessary time and a commission will be charged.

Telephoning Home
Telephoning home is easy. There will be a facility in the hotel, and local Telecon offices with phone booths are easy to use. Your guide will assist you. Remember that all telephone charges made from your hotel will be your responsibility and are likely to be much more expensive than using the local Telecon office.
